AWARD END DATES IN THE RUTGERS INTEGRATED ADMINISTRATIVE SYSTEM (RIAS)
The end dates of 4-2XXXX range of accounts were extended by 30 days in the procurement module (also called Internet Procurement or IP) of RIAS effective September 30, 2002. The end dates HAVE NOT BEEN CHANGED in the actual general ledger of record in the On-Line Financial Information System (OFIS) of the Legacy System . OFIS will continue to reflect the official end dates.
This procedural change was instituted to allow processing in RIAS of transactions which occurred during the official award period but whose paperwork is processed after the official award end date. These award end transactions typically include Travel and Business Expense Reports (TABERs), invoices for goods provided or services, such as consultant work, and Change Order Requests to close outstanding commitments.
The DGCA will set up all new awards, no cost extension requests and continuation
funding notices for non-competitive renewals received after September 30, 2002
with 30 more days in RIAS than the official award end date in OFIS.
